Sunset Cinema at Gasworks Arts Park is back this summer with 13 films from December 27 to January 13, 2018.
The outdoor cinema in Albert Park is screening new releases, including Murder on the Orient Express on opening night, Justice League, and Wonder, the heart-warming story of August Pullman – a boy with facial differences navigating school for the first time.
If you’re looking for a laugh, Daddy’s Home 2 is on, and for the kids (or kids at heart), there’s a screening of Captain Underpants.
Food truck La Revolucion will serve Latin-inspired snacks, including tacos and corn on the cob – as well as the classic popcorn and chocolate at the snack bar. The fully licensed bar stocks 4 Pines beer and MadFish wines. Otherwise pack your own picnic basket – it’ll save you losing your spot on the lawn.
This year moviegoers are being asked to help raise money for three local charities including Backpacks 4 VIC Kids, STREAT and Alkira.
Attendees are welcome to bring along their own blankets and chairs. Headrests, beanbags and loungers are also available to hire. A Lawn Lounge ticket includes a reserved bean lounger with popcorn and a drink.
Gates open at 7pm and films start at last light.
